By the end of this presentation, attendees will clearly understand how to incorporate daily habits into their routines and use them to become more productive, efficient, and successful in their business endeavors.

Habituating Personal Ambition

It’s common for leaders to show high levels of ambition – but do you have the toolkit necessary to illustrate your vision and care for yourself while driving to this level of success? Throughout this interactive workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to build a vision board highlighting their goals and ambitions for the next semester while also aligning methods of self-care that can be used to support the achievement of these goals.

Care in Connections

We will discuss good conversation starters and fun ice-breakers, and connect with each other during the session. Maximizing Your Media Reach as an Organizational Leader

A common challenge within many organizations is connecting with external partners.
One of the best ways to relate is through storytelling.
In this workshop, leaders will learn how to identify and craft stories within their organizations and gain tips on pitching to news media.

Care for Circle

Creating a Circle For Each Other

This session will discuss the challenges of creating events geared towards improving the bonds and coming up with solutions with peers to better one’s circle. Creating spaces and atmospheres for connection and conversation can be challenging, whether it’s the initial breaking of the ice or having a program online. However, productive and effective leadership can not blossom to its full potential until we invest in ourselves and the people around us. In this presentation, the East Carolina University Circle will discuss how they tackle these challenges and how their circle promotes member bonds.

Into the Streets: Caring for Our Community

This session will review the full process for developing a large scale service project including contacting community agencies, engaging the campus (faculty, staff, & students), and building in opportunities for O𐊅K alumni to participate. Speakers will reveal the process, including summer community connection calling, engaging students/faculty/staff to sign up as groups or individually, soliciting and selecting t-shirt designs, coordinating day-of activities, and managing the dispersal of over 800 participants in the community. This circle also developed a recent plan for alumni engagement which will be reviewed during this session. This event, now in its 18th year, encompasses Morningside’s mission to be civically responsible ethical leaders and create a caring environment that connects our campus with our community.

Most student leaders can think of a meeting they were required to attend that could have been an e-mail. When you’re trying to engage your general board, building a meeting agenda that is relevant, exciting, and worthy of their time is essential. Throughout this interactive workshop, participants will categorize components of meeting prep into pre-meeting, meeting, and post-meeting blocks that can be used on any campus to engage your general body population effectively.

Attendees will also focus on the effects of servant leadership and bridging the gap between one’s community through service.

Specifically, you’ll learn how to understand the biggest challenges in your community and engage in goal-setting to achieve objectives in resolving these challenges.
