About the National Leadership Conference

Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, recognizes and encourages superior leadership and exemplary character. We support collaboration among members across the five pillars celebrated by O∆K: scholarship, athletics, service, communications, and arts. Since our founding in 1914, we have honored and developed leaders through scholarships, training and education workshops, career opportunities, online leadership resources, and a lifelong connection to other members.

Since its inception in 1920, the O∆K national meeting, now known as the National Leadership Conference, has been a beacon of tradition and continuity. It has always been a platform that brings students, faculty, staff, and alumni together to share experiences, develop leaders, and build networks. Beginning in 2021, the National Leadership Conference became an annual event focused on our members and their leadership development.  The National Leadership Conference is for:

  • Students who lead.  O∆K students stay up late, getting that paper just right, engaging on campus and in their communities, and stepping up when they see a challenge. Share your leadership and learn from others.
  • Circle advisors who care. O∆K circle advisors are the unsung heroes who keep their doors open (even past office hours), celebrate excellence in and out of the classroom, and provide the stability each circle needs to be successful. Your role in shaping future leaders is invaluable. Come and be recognized for your contributions and share your success secrets with other advisors.
  • Lifetime members who contribute.  O∆K lifetime members may not be attending or working at a college or university. Still, they contribute through service at the national level and in the financial support of the whole organization. Celebrate with those students, faculty, and staff who benefit from your support.

We welcome collegiate members, circle officers, volunteers, and lifetime members to our annual event, which helps our members become the leaders of tomorrow as they navigate their leadership journey.
