Featured Speaker

Kim Shine

“What Grief Taught Me About Life & Leadership”

Since she was 11 years old, Kim Shine has dealt with grief at many points throughout her life. It took her years to truly understand the impact of loss on her decisions, emotions, and relationships. Always a creative, she wrote to process her feelings, which eventually led her to a successful career in news and media. As she matured, so did her writing and her need to express herself on a larger scale. She decided to leave local news, entered a new part of media, and, later published a book. In this keynote, Shine details significant transitions in her life and career and the cathartic process that allowed her to be a leader by example.
